Notes:
1. The obituary of William Harris ca. 1750-1848 said he was born in Culpeper, VA.
2. Silas Harris ca. 1775-by 1860 told the 1850 Census that he was born in VA.
He likely died in Surry County, NC.
3. The death certificate of Virgil Harris lists the name of Henderson Harris,
ca. 1817-aft. 1880, of Wilkes County as Hence Harris. My father also remembered
Henderson was called Hence Harris, as did another family member, Mary Jane Martin.
However, I have never seen Henderson Harris, 1826-90, of Allegheny County called Hence Harris.
4. Virgil Harris, Jim Harris & Sherman Harris were all born & died in Wilkes County, NC.
